Thanks again for those who came to Happy Veggie's brunch!…featuring chef kelly!

I feel as though I’ve officially become chef today. Cooking a four-course brunch for 23 people was exhilarating but also very hard work. Improvising with the toaster not working to making sure that the tofu benedicts were coming out plated correctly, keeping an eye on the pancakes to keep them coming and serve them HOT were all very challenging and now I’m completely pooped! but a good post-endorpohin kinda way, like after running the marathon, well, maybe a half marathon.

Sorry there’s no pix of the food. Everyone was too busy to take pictures. BIG shoutout to Pam for giving me the opportunity to work with her, and HUGE shoutout to James who was the best sous chef I could ask for – you were AWESOME! And so were your panna cottas. And Ha and Benjamin were so helpful as as well. Lastly, xoxo to Mike, the love of my life, who did so much today and support me emotionally thru this sickness, cooking. Special thanks to the rest of the fam (Carry and mom) and my friends who came from faraways, Maire, KZ and her sis! Much thanks to the flattering comments a subset quoted below (as Pam handed out comment cards) – this is why I do this and love it!
